I was introduced to meditation in synergy with my yoga practice a few years ago. I’ve been intrigued to incorporate meditation towards my daily life for the reasons that I’ve accepted fully my inability to concentrate on one particular thing or though to point it blankly Attention Deficit Disorder. Meditation is the art of silencing the mind and is a way to literally rewire the way your brain works. When the mind is silent, concentration is increased and we experience inner peace in the midst of chaos around us. Mexico based hotel group Habita (hotels like Hotel Endemico), introduces Hotel Americano their first U.S. property that offers 56-room hotel  with decidedly Mexican touches to New York City. The destination offers an outdoor rooftop café and pool that becomes a hot tub in winter, along with very New York-style details like iPads in every room that are full of recommendations for the best local galleries, restaurants and shops. Hôtel Americano has two restaurants and bars, as well as locally produced bicycles guests can use to explore the High Line and Hudson River Park.

Warby Parker – Buy A Pair, Give A Pair

With nearly 1 billion people don’t have access to glasses that need them. That means that 15% of the world’s population is unable to effectively learn or work because they can’t see clearly. Neil Blumentahl as one of the founders of Warby Parker – the hip online retailer of frames and lenses that lets users try on five styles free before purchasing one. The company launched a “Buy a Pair, Give a Pair” program, which operates exactly as it sounds — Warby Parker will donate a pair of glasses to a community in need for every pair purchased on their website.
