With the upcoming opening of the Aloft Vaughan Mill inspired by W Hotels (closed to the Vaughan Shopping Centre), Canada’s first Element property, the Element Vaughan Southwest manage by Atlific Hotels scheduled to begin construction this winter. Expected to open in spring 2013, the eco-friendly Element Vaughan Southwest will feature 152 guestrooms and suites. Other amenities include a fitness centre, complimentary wellness programs and healthy food options. Inspired by Westin Hotels and Resorts, the Element Hotels promotes balance through flowing, multi-purpose spaces. Influenced by nature, the smart, environmentally-friendly design maximizes space and enables you to use each area in multiple ways.

Guestrooms will offer custom-designed closet systems, custom-designed workspaces, smart entertainment centres, Westin Heavenly bathrooms and relaxing signature Westin Heavenly Beds. On the meetings side, there will be about 3,000 sq. ft. of flexible, energy-efficient meeting space, featuring modular furniture, 50-inch flat-screen TVs, easy-access power outlets and free Wi-Fi. Eco-friendly features include in-room recycling bins, water-efficient faucets and fixtures and eco-friendly paints, carpets and furniture.

Atlific Hotels will also manage the Element Vancouver Metrotown, scheduled to open in 2014. This is great news for all of you who are Starwood fans, now all we need is a W Hotel , St. Regis Hotel and a Luxury Collection in the pipeline. Here’s a brief glimpse of Element New York Times Square West that I’ve had the pleasure of staying at last year.
