Already being dubbed as the “most stylish movie ever”, the highly anticipated “Great Gatsby” trailer by Baz Luhrmann was only released Tuesday night. The film, an adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s 1925 novel by the same name is being filmed in 3D. Leonardo DiCaprio stars as Jay Gatsby joined by Carey Mulligan as Daisy Buchanan the love interest of Jay Gatsby. Tobey Maguire plays writer Nick Carraway, Amitabh Bachchan is Meyer Wolfsheim, Joel Edgerton is Tom Buchanan and Isla Fisher plays Myrtle Wilson. Brooks Brother, the all-American label known for its preppy polos teamed up with two-time wining costume designer Catherine Martin to create the 1920’s wardrobe Jay Gatsby (Leonardo DiCaprio), Nick Carraway (Tobey Maguire) and Tom Buchanan (Joel Edgerton). With just two minutes of seriously slick style from formal tuxedo to striped bow ties and oxford shoes and everything in between shows up, as well as a look at Leo as Gatsby baller live-in closet. It was announced last October that Tiffany & Co supplied all of the Deco-style jewels and furnishings for Gatsby’s Long mansion. The movie will be released in 2013.
