Burberry Prorsum presents its new Spring/Summer 2013 collection designed by Christopher Bailey presents a fantastic collection, that mixes classic silhouettes but still overall very modern. “Come Rain Or Shine” is the official name that was given to the collection with metallics playing a big role. Knits leather, and silks are all treated with the metallic look in varying garments, and colors inspired by artist, David Hockney. Purple, green, fuchsia, yellow and orange land on jackets and trouser in a new manner. Military inspired pieces such as bomber jackets, trench coats, M-65 jackets and military parkas made up the outerwear. In addition to traditional tailoring, the collection included long shirts that resembled Indian tunics, fitted bomber jackets, rain coats, and cardigans and turtle necks made of metallic fibres. The collection featured an abundance of bright hues such as cerise, azure blue, orange and yellow against a more sombre palette of greys, olive green and browns. And accessories in the Burberry Prorsum collection, a range of sandals add contrast on the feet, sunglasses and bags in bright colour and a glossy finish contributed to yet another successful balanced collection for Burberry.
