Adele Sings New James Bond ‘Skyfall’ Title Song

The James Bond Spy film franchise this time choose a British artist to sing a tune for film and with rumored confirmed as I’m happy to announced none other than Grammy Award-winning artist Adele. The release of Adele’s official theme song Skyfall was released in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of the first James Bond film, Dr. No, which premiered on October 5, 1962. The brassy and soulful song was recorded with a 77-piece orchestra at London’s Abbey Road studios. And not surprisingly, Adele’s take on James Bond doesn’t sound half bad at all and Adele has opened up about the excitement of recording it.

“I was a little hesitant at first … There’s a lot of instant spotlight and pressure when it comes to a Bond song,” she said in a statement, according to the BBC. “But I fell in love with the script, and Paul [Epworth] had some great ideas for the track, and it ended up being a bit of a no-brainer to do it in the end.”
Paul Epworth also produced and co-wrote Adele’s huge hit “Rolling in the Deep.” Skyfall opens October 26 in the U.K and November 9 in the US. And Adele figures she’ll be proud of this gig for a long time to come “I’ll be back combing my hair when I’m 60 telling people I was a Bond girl back in the day, I’m sure,” she says.
