Fashion Designer Diane Von Furstenberg has teamed up with Hayman Islands Resort to personally designed the DVF penthouse inspired by the brand. This is the second time the designer have ventured to hotel design with the first being The Claridge’s Hotel in London. The penthouse features open living with a splashes of interesting prints on carpets, pillows and curtains reflects the comfortable yet luxurious style of the DVF brand, known for its feminine printed cross over dresses.
Diane Von Furstenberg specifies her love for travel and shares her tips on making any home beautiful, “Firstly, it has to be comfortable. You also have to allow for different spaces. I like the idea that you don’t always eat in the same place. I also love filling a space with flowers and books.”
She also proclaims her love for colour: “I love colour and I always say ‘just imagine the world in black and white. Just imagine looking at everything in black and white.’ How different it would look.” Diane is certainly correct as colour is sure to turn any room beautiful and every mood happy.
As per the Hayman website, the penthouse has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, spacious living room and a secluded wrap balcony offering spectacular uninterrupted views over Hayman Beach to the crystal waters of the Coral Sea. The master bedroom features an American Oak four-poster bed; ensuite bathroom with luxurious Apaiser stone freestanding bath and separate double rainwater shower; Koda lighting and custom cabinetry throughout. The DVF Penthouse accommodates up to four guests and includes Butler service.
